P Visa
√ P-1A Athlete and P-1B Entertainer:
√ Must establish “international recognition” in a sport, athletic competition, or discipline.
√ P-2:
√ Must enter through a government recognized reciprocal exchange program and have skills comparable to the U.S. artists or entertainers taking part in the program outside the U.S.
√ P-3:
√ Must be coming to the U.S. either individually or as a group for the purpose of developing, or teaching a unique or traditional ethnic, folk, cultural, musical, theatrical, or artistic performance or presentation. Must also participate in a cultural event(s) which will further the understanding or development of the art form.
√ Complete the Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, submit filing fees, and all supporting evidence to USCIS.
√ Evidence to establish international recognition must be included as listed per category.
√ Status will be granted for the length of time needed to complete a particular event, tour, or season, for up to a maximum of one year.
√ One year increment extensions are allowed to complete the event, activity or performance.
√ Spouses and unmarried children under the age of 21 can join the P visa holder; however, they cannot work. Study is allowed.
