H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean Professionals
√ Must be a national of Chile or Singapore.
√ Must have a valid job offer from the employer to be employed in a “specialty occupation”, which means the position usually requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
√ Prior to applying for the H-1B1, the employer must submit a Labor Condition Application (LCA) with the Department of Labor.
√ Chileans and Singaporeans may file directly at a U.S. consulate for the H-1B1 visa.
√ The initial period of stay is one-year.
√ TH-1B1 status can be extended and is granted in one year increments.
√ Spouses and unmarried children under the age of 21 can join the H-1B1 worker.
√ Dependents will be granted the same period of stay as the H-1B1 worker.
√ Spouses and children cannot work, but may study.
