USCIS Conducted a Second H-1B Lottery

USCIS announced last week that it need to select additional H-1B lottery registrations from the registrations that were not selected in March 2024, in order to meet the annual limit (“cap”) of 65,000 H-1B visas allocated for this fiscal year, which begins October 1, 2024.  It completed the selections over the weekend and confirmed today that all petitioners had been notified.  

Employers should have received a notification to the email address associated with their myUSCIS account stating there has been an update in their myUSCIS account if they have a registration selected. Employers will be given 90 days to file a complete H-1B petition.  Based on the selection notices our office received, the 90 day window runs from August 8, 2024 to November 7, 2024.  More information on where to file and the specific 90-day window will be provided in the selection notice.
