USCIS Will Run a Second H-1B Lottery

USCIS announced this morning that it will select additional H-1B lottery registrations from the registrations that were not selected in March 2023 in order to meet the annual limit (“cap”) of H-1B visas allocated for this coming year.  

The agency did not specify the timeline by when the selections would be made nor did it say when employers would be notified, but the agency indicated it would make another announcement once it completes the selections and has notified the employers.  Employers will receive a notification to the email address associated with their myUSCIS account that there has been an update in their myUSCIS account if they have a registration selected.  Employers will be given 90 days to file a complete H-1B petition. More information on where to file and the specific 90-day window will be provided in the selection notice.
