Premium Processing Fee Increase for 2024
USCIS has announced that it will raise the filing fee for premium processing requests (Form I-907) effective February 26, 2024. Petitions and applications filed on or after February 26, 2024 with the incorrect filing fee will be rejected and returned to the petitioner or applicant.
The current and new fees for premium processing are detailed below by petition and application type:
The agency has not raised the premium processing fee for three years. DHS intends to use the revenue generated by the fee increase to improve adjudication processes, respond to the increased adjudication demands, and fund USCIS adjudication and naturalization services.
Premium processing is not available to all petitions and applications at this time. USCIS plans on expanding the availability of premium processing to more petition types in the near future as another way to increase revenue. To confirm whether premium processing is available for a certain category, please visit this USCIS webpage.
We are hopeful that the fee adjustment will help USCIS improve premium processing services and the backlog of applications.
