Negative COVID-19 Test Result No Longer Required for Travel to the United States
Effective June 12, 2022, the Centers for Disease Control (“CDC”) no longer requires international travelers to show a negative COVID-19 test result or proof of recovering from COVID-19 prior to boarding a flight to the United States. The CDC may reinstate the requirement at any time if they consider it necessary. We highly recommend visiting the CDC website before traveling to the United States.
It should be noted that most visa-holders traveling to the United States must still show proof of COVID-19 vaccination before departure. U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents are exempt from this requirement. More information on who can qualify for an exception to the vaccination requirement is available here.
We will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates as they become available.
