Registration for H-1B Visa Lottery Opens on March 9, 2021.

USCIS has announced that the online registration period for this year’s H-1B lottery will open on March 9, 2021, and run through March 25, 2021. 

During this period, employers seeking to file H-1B petitions in this year’s lottery must first complete an online registration process that requires basic information about their company and each prospective foreign national worker, and pay the associated $10 H-1B registration fee.

Once the registration period closes, USCIS will run a random selection of the electronic entries received.  Only those with selected registrations can file H-1B petitions.  USCIS will notify employers of selected registrations by March 31, 2021, after which employers will have 90 days to file the H-1B petition.  

Please note that USCIS will continue to use a random selection process for this year’s H-1B lottery and will not ask for salary levels as a part of this year’s registration.
