The US government has now added the UK and Ireland to the countries from which travel to the United States will be restricted.  These travel restrictions will take effect tonight (Monday), March 17, at midnight.

US Citizens and green card holders will continue to be exempt from the travel restrictions, but those arriving from affected areas will have to fly into one of the 13 designated airports listed below for health screenings, followed by a 14-day self-quarantine.  Travelers will be asked about their medical history, current condition, and asked for contact information for local health authorities. Individuals who clear the screening will be sent to their final destination (if it was not one of the 13 designated airports).

DHS 13 designated airports:

·        Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), Massachusetts;

·        Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD), Illinois;

·        Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Texas;

·        Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL), Hawaii;

·        Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), Michigan;

·        Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), Georgia;

·        John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), New York;

·        Los Angeles International Airport, (LAX), California;

·        Miami International Airport (MIA), Florida;

·        Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), New Jersey;

·        San Francisco International Airport (SFO), California;

·        Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), Washington; and

·        Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD), Virginia.

The U.S. Department of State has advised U.S. travelers to reconsider international travel plans and strongly discourages any travel by cruises. If international travel is necessary, please carefully review the country travel advisories.  Many countries around the world have been enacting travel restrictions, quarantines, and enhanced screening procedures in an effort to mitigate the effects of the virus.

We will continue to monitor the travel restrictions and provide updates as soon as possible.
