B-1 (Visitor) /B-2 (Tourist) Visitor Visa

√ The purpose of the trip is to enter the United States for business, tourism, or a combination of both.
√ Plan to remain for a specific limited period of time.
√ Have the funds to cover the expenses of the trip and stay in the United States.
√ Have a residence outside the United States in with no intention of abandoning, as well as other ties which will ensure the visitor’s return abroad at the end of the visit.
√ Complete an Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application, DS-160, pay for the visa application fee, and schedule an interview at a U.S. consulate.
√ The initial period of stay is 1 to 6 months maximum.
√ Possible extension of stay is up to another 6 months.
√ Maximum total amount of time permitted in B-1 status on any one trip is generally 1 year.
√ Spouse and children are not eligible to obtain a dependent visa. Each dependent must apply separately for a B-1/B-2 visa.
